NEW
YORK - Bristol Investment Group, a leading technology venture investment
and finance company, announced today that Arthur B. Whitcomb, Jr.
has joined the company's executive team as Managing Director. Mr.
Whitcomb has more than 10 years experience in investment banking
for both the public and private markets, working directly with companies
to meet their capital-raising objectives.
"Arthur
brings to Bristol substantial expertise in raising equity capital
for public companies," said Alan Donenfeld, President of Bristol
Investment Group. "This knowledge includes structuring the terms
of the equity securities and the relationship with institutional
investing sources. We are very fortunate to have him on board."
Prior
to joining Bristol Investment Group, Mr. Whitcomb worked as a Managing
Director at Coleman & Company, where he was responsible for successfully
funding numerous technology companies in both the public and private
markets. Before working at Coleman & Company, Mr. Whitcomb was Managing
Director of Investment Banking at Whale Securities Co., L.P., a
New York based broker dealer and Investment Bank. During this time
(1996 to1998) Mr. Whitcomb focused on emerging technology companies
and was responsible for new business development, negotiating and
structuring transactions, performing due diligence and the successful
completion of Initial Public Offerings and private placements. From
1994 to 1996 Mr. Whitcomb was Vice President of Stanhope Capital,
Inc. a private investment and merchant bank. Mr. Whitcomb focused
on obtaining mezzanine and bridge finance for high growth private
companies. From 1991 to 1993, Mr. Whitcomb was a Junior Partner
at Sands Brothers and Company, LTD., a member of the New York Stock
Exchange. Mr. Whitcomb started his career at Paine Webber Inc. in
1988 in the Capital Markets Group training program. Mr. Whitcomb
studied Psychology and Astronomy at Boston University from 1983
to 1987.
"I
am excited about joining the Bristol team." said Whitcomb. "This
is a very interesting time for investment banking. Many public companies
have recently experienced volatility in their stock price and are
seeking capital to fuel their growth. Bristol is well positioned
to explain and evaluate the various financing options available.
We help companies chose the financial solution best suited for their
needs and most importantly, successfully close transactions." Whitcomb
went on to say that the capital markets, while having recently undergone
a correction, remain open to new investment opportunities.
